"The dining experience is not a one-off event – it’s the very essence of how you create ongoing memories of fine food, fellowship, good health and happiness" Jo Cleary
We share your understanding that there is more to the dining experience than just serving 3 meals a day
Expectations are rising from residents, family and government. New standards put the resident at the centre with care and living the way they want.
Are you ready and embracing this shift in paradigm?.
Jo Cleary, BSc Psych (Hons) - Hospitality Quality Outcomes Catalyst
Jo holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons), Certificate IV in Training & Assessment and Certificate in Understanding Dementia. She has skills in Research, Interviewing, Project Management, Tenders, Value Stream Mapping, Organisational Review, Business Intelligence, Gap Analysis, Stakeholder Management, Facilitation, Implementation and Report Writing.
Jo is passionate about creating a good outcome for diners – a dining experience that also meets the needs of families, management, staff and external agencies. She is a member of relevant industry groups and closely follows local and international food and care trends.
Jo partners with providers to agree dining experience outcomes, review current operations, develop an Action Plan and mentor staff to deliver quality improvement at optimum cost. Her secret sauce is really simple - make the invisible visible. By reviewing the meal service right along the value stream, solutions jump out that are actionable and lead to a quality outcome at optimal cost.
She has consulted on over 80 meal reviews to improve the dining experience in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia including facilitating a Hospitality Quality Outcomes Project for the largest residential aged care provider in Queensland. Jo has also been educating and entertaining audiences at conferences and forums for the past 25 years in Australia, New Zealand, United States, Africa, Europe, Russia and China.
Jo tells it like it is, and supports you to ensure the best ideas are actioned so you make a real difference from the dining room to the Board Room.
Staff tell Jo that they lose their ability to provide a caring and loving service. No one is empowered and expectations are not met.
